I moved to the U.K. exactly four years back. I was a ball nervous energy with no idea what the next few days, weeks, months or years were going to look like. Its safe to say, the last four years have been remarkable in more ways than one. I’ve endured some painful personal losses but I have also gained some of the best mates over these years who are my family away from my family.
And even after four years of living in this country you would think, it would have sunk in that I live in this historic city or that snowfall during Christmas season wouldn’t feel as magical or commuting to work everyday would feel mundane or I would get homesick often. Don’t get me wrong there are downsides of living in a foreign land but for me personally, the positives have always outweighed the negatives. I am not lying when I say, even after four years I still experience a “pinch me moment” every single day of the week.
So, London, thank you for making me the happiest. Where are you the happiest?✨🫶🏽🤍❄️🎄
